Refosco is a classic Friulian varietal. Refosco of the Friuli differs from planting in other areas because is not so fruitful and the fruit has a high malic acid level.
Refosco is intense ruby red in colour. Its bouquet is characteristic of the varietal with intense wild strawberry and raspberry scent textured with attractive aromas of vanilla and toasted chestnuts.
The taste has an elegant soft fruit feel with dominant tones of wild strawberry. It is slightly herbaceous an evolves to vanilla and cacao tones typical of wood aging process. Noted also is the lingering velvety back palate sensation.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS	Refosco’s food pairings are pork, sausage, ham, salami, cold dishes and venison.
SERVING TEMPERATURE	We recommend decanting 30 minutes before serving at a temperature of 18 – 20 °C (64 – 68 °F)
